Pakoštane is a small village, situated in the heart of the Adriatic coast in a unique position between the sea and the Vransko jezero lake. It is surrounded with 5 national parks (Paklenica, Kornati, Plitvice Lakes, Krka, North Velebit). They were the ones impressive environment providing enhanced convenience and offer endless possibilities for each. Near Pakoštane there are historical town of Zadar, the cradle of Croatian culture and history, Biograd n / m and Šibenik, the town famous for its cathedral of St. Jacob, which is on the UNESCO world heritage list. At several places there are remains of an ancient settlement; below the cemetery, near the sea, founded a Roman villa, and in the sea the remains of a Roman breakwater. One branch of the Roman aqueduct that ran from Vrana to Zadar, was moved to Pakoštane.
