Drage is located in North Dalmatia, on the main road between Zadar and Sibenik. Located next to the very indented coast and clear sea with a view of the numerous islands on the edge of the National park Kornati.

 

The area of Drage is bordered on the north Vransko jezero (lake), in the south Adriatic Sea and the Kornati National Park. Vransko jezero lake is a nature reserve and it is just 1 km from the town and is a paradise for anglers. Bike path around the lake, with nice places for a picnic and a beautiful view of the lake and the National Park Kornati is an ideal place to stay in nature and relaxation.

 

 

Drage is a quiet and peaceful town in Dalmatia situated in the central part of the Croatian Adriatic coast, in the highway area between Zadar and Šibenik along a highly indented coast and a clear sea looking upon numerous islets at the edge of the national park Kornati. It is located only 3km from Pakoštane, and surrounded by 4 national parks. It is situated 12 nautical miles from Kornati, 47km from Krka, 75km from Paklenica, 165km from Plitvice Lakes and 17 nautical miles and 1km from two nature parks – Telašćica and the Vransko Lake, respectively. The historical towns Zadar and Šibenik are situated nearby (at a distance of 36km and 41km, respectively). The Vransko Lake is the largest natural lake in the Republic of Croatia. It is a crypto-depression with the length of 13.6km, the width of 1.4km to 3.5km and the surface area of 30.2km2, and the largest water depth is around 4m. The lake stretches parallel to the sea coast in the northwest-east direction, and is separated from the sea by a calcareous wall 800-2500m wide with the highest ridge of 113m of altitude. Here, nature has created ideal beaches, which, due to the sea currents, can boast an excellent level of sea clarity. There are numerous tourist spots, historical sites and natural beauties in the vicinity.
